6 Reasons to do Nail Art

Hi Everyone!

I am sorry it has been so long, I've been very busy the past few weeks! We had a LCN/Eastern Esthetics Career College Open House which was so much fun! There were free services, demos, info on classes, deals, AND free product. It was very exciting to see the response from all the nail technicians and estheticians. Now we are in the midst of another Nail Art Contest. Have you heard about it, it’s the LCN Easter Nail Art Contest - it runs for only 2 more days. So on March 25th the contest will close, Monday we will choose the top 5 finalists AND THEN we break it down and do a Facebook live video review on each photo for the following 5 days! The winner will be chosen by you, based off of likes, comments, and shares.

Why am I telling you all this? BECAUSE! This is a great opportunity to become inspired! Why do we do the things we do? Reflect on this question, why. The majority of you will realize that it all stemmed from passion. This is an amazing career to show your creativity and show your talents through your work.

So what are the reasons to do nail art?

It is fun!

Yes! Let's bring back why you got into this business. Even if it wasn’t nail art in particular that brought you to getting your license, learning new things is fun! Relax and enjoy! Bring that new excitement to work.

Trying new things allows you to find new things you like

You may not know you have a hidden talent for Ombre or sweater nails until you try it. Get out of your comfort zone and you could be thoroughly satisfied to learn your capabilities. Also you may learn some great color combinations that you would otherwise be scared to try. So why not?

Building confidence

Sometimes nail art can be challenging and frustrating when you don't nail your first attempt but think of it as a puzzle and that you will get better over time. Don't get discouraged, it is a process we all go through.

Build network

When you start entering into nail contests, you get to see all these other sets and get inspired.. You comment, they comment back and before you know it you are giving each other tips and supporting each other. This is called networking and people don’t realize how valuable this is. Stay open minded and start mingling - you may learn something!

Get new clients

Entering into nail art contests gives you exposure, it’s a great time to get your name out there and show the public your skill. So many people didn't know you existed.. No offense.. But this is a GREAT way for them to see there is someone around them that produces such wonderful nails! Remember to follow up and give them a way to contact you.

Potentially win prizes

Who knows you could win a prize! I say enter, enter, enter.. You have nothing to lose to go into a contest. You will gain the exposure, the experience of a contest but also you may WIN! And if you win there are usually amazing prizes!
