Color of the Year

When one season ends, another begins... in the Fashion and Beauty Industry the trends are forever CHANGING! It is exciting to watch how these trends go from brainstorm to reality but it can be exhausting to try and keep up!

This year I have been OBSESSED with the Spring and Summer trends. I don't know if it's because of where I live (currently it's May... and the amount of wind and rain has been INSANE!) and at this point in time it seems like summer is too far away. Or if I'm just someone who is always outdoors and is excited to enjoy the sun... Whatever it is, there comes a time when you will see 1 specific color EVERYWHERE. This year... It's Coral!

Coral is major right now in the beauty industry; Red use to be the color everyone ran to if they wanted a fun, playful shade of polish or lipstick to go with their outfit, or to get them in the summer mood! Coral is now steeling the spotlight, and has taken the beauty industry by storm. It honestly feels like every second client is either currently wearing coral, or is asking for it because they saw it on someone else!

Named after the coral that lives on the ocean floors, coral was first harvested by ancient Egyptians to create jewelry and worn by those in Rome to ward off evil. It was found in Art Deco jewelry in the early 20th century.
